The best male vocalist/writer in country music in my opinion. Don't know of anything he's done that I don't like or love. Been listening all my life 32 young years, thanks George :o)

Well I would have to say that George Strait is truely country but there are new people that are contry to... Have you ever heard that Chicken Fried song, thats a good one.

Sorry Leeroy, but 98% of all country being played on the radio these days is NOT Country music..
And what the population thinks is country has been brainwashed into today's youth..so we are completely screwed no matter where we go with What Nashville calls country music now adays, Thank god for George, he's the type to tell Nashville , nope this is the way Im doing it, instead of them trying to sell him. THAT IS WHY HE SUCCEEDS in Country music. Because he has never left the roots of it.
